The Newcastle Summit presents a series of events designed to start discussions around how organisations and
workplaces in the Newcastle area can ensure their client services are inclusive, how sporting organisations can
best support their LGBTQ employees, players and volunteers of sporting organisations, and how workplaces
can be working toward organisational and cultural change.

Hosted at Newcastle City Hall by City of Newcastle on 13 October and chaired by ACON’s Pride Inclusion Programs,
the summit is open to employers, employees, participants and volunteers of all organisations – including state and
local governments, small business, health and aged care providers, sporting bodies and community employers in
the Newcastle area.

ACON’s Pride Inclusion Programs offer a range of services to assist and support employers, sporting organisations
and service providers with all aspects of LGBTQ inclusion. Pride in Diversity is the national not-for-profit employer
support program for LGBTQ workplace inclusion specialising in HR, organisational change and workplace diversity.
Pride in Sport is the only sporting inclusion program specifically designed to assist National and State sporting
organisations and clubs with the inclusion of LGBTQ employees, players, coaches, volunteers and spectators.
Pride in Health + Wellbeing is a national membership program that provides year-round support in the provision
of LGBTQ inclusive services for those working within the health and wellbeing sector.
